I'll be honest, I don't know what my most beautiful post is.  Maybe you can pick for me instead.  These days, I'm listening to a lot of Underworld, and I really like this photo I shot so let's go with that.

2. My Most Popular Post: Unreal Antarctica

My first collection of photos from the least inhabited continent on the planet, Unreal Antartica.  Who knew that pictures of ice, snow, and penguins pooing would be so popular?

Underworld Live Redux

Group of strangers.  Dingy club.  Pouring rain outside.  Hundreds brought together for an evening to share an experience.

Nearly 2 months ago in Berlin, I finally saw a band that I had waited 15 years to see.  This week I had a chance to see Underworld again, and spent the better part of a day traveling over 1000km by bus, train, plane (even walking) to make it happen.

It was so very worth it, and they closed with Moaner which was the highlight for sure.

Everything Everything: An Evening with Underworld

I changed my travel plans and came to Europe for 2 reasons:

1) Visit friends, and recoup
2) See Underworld live

Two years ago I made it a goal to see Underworld perform live.  I had wanted to see them live for years, but there is considerable effort involved.  They may play Canada once or twice per year, but not within 2000km of where I live.  Even then it's a small club, not the type of environment I wanted to experience their show in.  It meant a trip to Europe.

So who is Underworld?  Well if you're not into electronic music you may not know, but they probably the top of the live acts in the dance music world, and have been around for more than 20 years.

Watching Berlin

There aren't too many cites that would tolerate the amount of street art and grafitti that Berlin does, let alone the scale of pieces like this one.  Is it more tolerable if it has a message?

Street Veil

 

Berlin is known for its street art, and I've been keeping my eye out for the good stuff.  Would you be supportive if the graffiti in your city or town had artistic merit, or is it always just defacing property in your eyes?
