Ramadan Splash

Ramadan is the Islamic month of fasting, which means no food or drink between sunrise and sunset.  The dates for Ramadan shift every year by about 11 days, depending on the lunar calendar rather than the solar calendar.  This year, Ramadan was right in the middle of summer.

It's 4:59pm, about 43c, and this man hasn't had anything to drink in about 10 and a half hours.  He wants to jump into the Nile.

Might as Well Jump (Giza Remix)

With a backdrop consisting of the Pyramid of Menkaure, the "3rd pyramid" at Giza just outside of Cairo, I added another jump to the collection.  You are no longer allowed to climb the pyramids, so this was as close as I could get to rising above.  Next time I'll just try to bribe one of the police officiers...
